Instructions
Wash chicken thoroughly under running water and dry completely.
Add curd, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, salt, chili powder.
Mix well and marinate for minimum 1 hour to overnight in the fridge.
Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add chicken (take it out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature before adding) to the pan and cook for 5-8 minutes on medium flame.
Add 1 cup water, cover and cook for 10 minutes or till its completely cooked.
Add cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with Coriander leaves and serve hot with white rice, jeera rice or roti with onion slices and lemon on the side.
Notes
Choose tender chicken for the recipe, preferably with bone.
Add a pinch of baking soda to chicken for soft and juicy chicken (If using a little hard or frozen meat).
