Instructions
Wash and soak black chana in water overnight.
Drain and rinse it under running water and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan. Add split dry red chili, cumin seeds (jeera) and let it splutter.
Add few curry leaves and crushed garlic pods and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add black chana, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
Then, add salt, mix well and cook for 8-10 minutes.
Garnish with fried curry leaves and serve.
Notes
Soaking chana overnight helps reduce the cooking time.
If you can't soak it overnight, soak it atleast for 4 hours and then pressure cook for 2 whistles.
