Learn how to make Perugu pachadi – It is an easy to make and amazing South Indian side dish. It is a healthy recipe made of curd tempered with few spices. Serve it with Steamed white rice.
There are many variations to this recipe. Potlakaya (lauki) Perugu pachadi, Tomato pachadi, Beerakaya pachadi. It is called as Mor Kozhambu/ Kolambu in tamil.
STEP BY STEP PERUGU PACHADI RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS WITH PHOTOS:
- Take curd in a bowl and beat it till it achieves thick consistency. Add chopped onions, mix well and set aside.
2. In a pan, heat 2 tsp of oil, add cumin seeds, dry red chilis and fry 1-2 mins till lightly crispy.
3. Take fried red chilis in a bowl, let it cool a little and add salt.
4. Mash, mix well and set aside.
5. In the same pan, add few curry leaves and let it splutter. Turn off the flame and add turmeric.
6. Add mashed red chilis along with tempering to the curd. Mix well and serve.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups Curd
- 1 small Onion
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 1/4 tbsp Turmeric
- Salt to taste
- Few Curry leaves
- 4-5 Dried red chilis

Notes
- Add some water if curd is too thick.
