This fish curry is prepared using fish, onions, tamarind and a mélange of spices. Rohu fish is used to prepare this dish which is great source of Vitamin C. You can choose any fresh water fish of your choice.

STEP BY STEP FISH CURRY RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS WITH PHOTOS:
- Heat 4 tbsp oil in a pan.
- Add chopped onions, turmeric and cook for 2-3 minutes till they turn transparent.
3. Add Ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute.
4. Meanwhile, soak tamarind in some water.
5. Add fish, salt, chili powder, cumin powder and fry for 3-4 minutes.
6. Add soaked tamarind pulp with 3 cups of water.
7. Cover and cook it for 15 minutes.
8. Don’t mix the fish too much, fish crumbles easily when cooked.
9. Add masala powder, check for salt and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
10. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with rice.

Fish Curry
Ingredients
- 500 grams Fish Rohu
- 2 medium Onions
- 1 1/2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 4 tbsp Oil
- 1/4 tbsp Turmeric
- 1 1/2 tbsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Chili powder
- 1/2 tbsp Cumin powder
- 1 tbsp Masala powder
- Dime sized Tamarind
- 3-4 Cups Water
- Coriander leaves Garnish

Notes
- I used Rohu fish in this recipe, you can choose any fresh water fish.
- Don’t mix fish too much while cooking, it crumbles easily.
- Use a wide bottom pan to cook fish.
