Learn to cook Chicken curry – This recipe is a quick and easy recipe where the chicken is marinated first and then sautéed along with onions and spices like coriander powder and garam masala are added to give extra flavor. Serve this delicious curry with steamed rice, jeera rice, bagara rice, pulka or roti.
Chicken should be included in our diet regularly in some form or the other. Chicken is a low-fat protein which helps in building the muscles of the body. It has good amount of zinc, iron and also vitamins like Vitamin B.
STEP BY STEP CHICKEN CURRY RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS WITH PHOTOS:
- Wash chicken thoroughly under running water and dry completely.
- Add curd, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, salt, chili powder.
3. Mix well and marinate for minimum 1 hour to overnight in the fridge.
4. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add chicken (take it out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature before adding) to the pan and cook for 5-8 minutes on medium flame.
6. Add 1 cup water, cover and cook for 10 minutes or till its completely cooked.
7. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
8. Garnish with Coriander leaves and serve hot with white rice, jeera rice or roti with onion slices and lemon on the side.

- 500 grams Chicken
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 big Onion
- 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 cup Curd

- 1 1/2 tbsp Salt to taste
- 1 cup Water
- 1/2 tbsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1 tbsp Garam masala
- Few sprigs Coriander leaves

Notes
- Choose tender chicken for the recipe, preferably with bone.
- Add a pinch of baking soda to chicken for soft and juicy chicken (If using a little hard or frozen meat).
