Second step, if you can’t find tender meat, you can tenderize the meat by adding raw papaya paste, baking soda or meat tenderizer.

STEP BY STEP MUTTON FRY RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS WITH PHOTOS:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and turmeric.
- Cook till the onions turn translucent for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.
3. Add ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell goes away for 1-2 minutes.
4. Add mutton pieces, mix well and fry on medium high for 3-4 minutes.
5. Now, add salt, chili powder, cumin (jeera) powder and garam masala.
6. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
7. Add water, cover and pressure cook for 6 whistles.
8. Turn off the flame, let it sit for 5 minutes and release pressure.
9. Cook on medium flame for 10-15 minutes till the water dries off completely.
10. Garnish with coriander and serve with steamed rice and rasam.

Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1 big Onion
- 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 500 grams Mutton
- 2 tbsp Salt
- 3 tbsp Chili powder
- 1 tbsp Garam masala
- 1 tbsp Cumin powder Jeera powder
- 1/2 tbsp Turmeric
- 3 tbsp Coriander Chopped
- 1 cup Water

Notes
- Choose tender (looks slightly pinkish) meat for juicy mutton recipe.
- Depending on the meat, you can cook up to 10-12 whistles.
- You can use meat tenderizer or raw papaya paste or a pinch of baking soda to cook the meat easily.
